The secret of suederei natural soaps

A bar of natural soap from the suderie

Hello! We're glad you found your way to this blog!

Because personal contact with suppliers is very important to me, I regularly visit selected manufacturers to get an idea of their operations on site. This leads to many exciting encounters and I am always learning something new. If you would like to know more about suederei soap factory and natural soaps, please take a moment to read my article.

Who and what issuederei?

Claudia is the founder ofsuederei. She trained as an herbalist and discovered her passion for natural cosmetics. She is particularly fond of making natural soaps. For her partner Roger, who has a background in business administration, it quickly became clear that Claudia's passion was becoming too expensive as a hobby. "If you have a passion and can create something beautiful with it, then it's best to share it with as many people as possible." And so, in December 2015,suedereiwasfounded. Roger kept his existing job for the time being and supported Claudia so that she could devote herself entirely to her soap-making art. He has now also become fully involved in the business, strengthening the vision of producing and distributing the best natural soaps in Switzerland. Good teamwork is a crucial factor for the two of them. Their mutual support, the use of their individual strengths and skills, and the courage they give each other are constantly driving their project forward. Floral

What is natural soap?

During my visit, Roger took a lot of time to answer my questions. I was particularly interested in what makes a natural soap and how it differs from normal soap. I learned that the ingredients in natural soap are not boiled above 40 degrees Celsius. This preserves the many nourishing ingredients. Above all, the high proportion of natural glycerin, which is produced during the saponification process of vegetable fats and oils, makes the difference to conventional soap. Glycerin is a beneficial moisturizer for the skin. This valuable glycerin is often skimmed off in industrial soap production to refine high-quality cosmetic products. In addition, conventional soaps often contain petroleum-based surfactants, preservatives, or synthetic fragrances and dyes. Natural soap therefore offers us the opportunity to care for our skin in a healthy way and to nourish it with rich, natural ingredients.

The secret of suederei natural soap

After a long chat with Roger, we head over to Claudia in the main rooms ofthe soap factory, where she creates, boils, and stores her soaps. Here, you meet someone who is totally in their element. Claudia tells me more about herself and her work:

"I am an herbalist who loves working with raw materials from nature. Soap making is a traditional craft and an important part of my life. It requires a lot of calm and concentration. When I make soap, it's 'my moment'. I am then 100% present and only make soap. Sometimes I get goosebumps. So that I am not distracted, I always work alone when boiling. During the manufacturing process, I am connected to the soap. I hope that people feel this connection again and again when they experience their own shower moment with the soap and reconnect with themselves and nature."

As I listen to Claudia, a pleasant shiver runs through my body. Feeling her passion for natural soaps so closely has touched me deeply. Now I understand her company motto even better: "suederei – for you and your nature."

Manufacturing

Only the highest quality and purest natural ingredientsareused insuedereisoaps. Another special feature of the soaps is the unique manufacturing process. The exact recipe remains Claudia's secret, of course. However, she reveals to me that she pours the soaps in a complex process, using molds she developed herself, to create multicolored soaps. This results in unique patterns and a fantastic play of colors in each bar of soap. Many people have already discovered ghosts, fairies, elves, and other creatures in a suederei soap.

The path to self-employment

Claudia tells me whatshe has learnedmost importantly from her journey withsuedereiso far: "If you have an idea that you can't let go of, then find the courage to start something of your own, even if that means giving up a great job and the security that comes with it. Even if the road is tough, it's worth continuing. Today, without my business, something important would be missing in my life." From my own experience with theWert&Voll online shop, Icanrelate to what she's saying and can only recommend that you take her words to heart!

My conclusion

Suedereinatural soapsaretruly unique and sustainable soaps, which are produced and distributed by two wonderful people. Claudia and Roger hope that suederei will continue to grow steadily and naturally in the future. I am sure that this will happen, as more and more people are discovering the benefits of natural soaps and switching to this plastic-free and sustainable alternative. I myself love this simplicity in the shower. One bar for the body, one for the hair. An incredible yet subtle scent that surrounds me and a moment just for me. Simply priceless!
